Kevin Carr, MD is a seasoned clinical/ care delivery transformation, population health, and HIT professional.  Dr. Carr’s deep experience includes guiding the development of Health Information Exchanges in five states and the United Kingdom (London Programme for Information Technology).  Additionally, he has assisted with electronic medical records implementations in two additional states (outside of those in which he provided HIE assistance).  Over the past five years, he has translated that knowledge into valuable strategies for national and regional payers implementing population health strategies that integrate people and technology-supported processes into new care delivery models.  These have included health information exchange, provider portal redesign, CMS Stars reporting, ACO performance reporting, risk score optimization, consumer call centers, and patient navigation program support.

Dr. Carr has served as Chief Medical Information Officer of a Yale-affiliated community-based teaching hospital, helping guide the rapid implementation of an inpatient electronic medical record system with 100% physician adoption and increased net revenue per visit by 14% in a health system shortly thereafter.  Dr. Carr attended medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Thereafter, he completed his internal medicine residency at Yale University, going on to serve as Chief Resident and then Assistant Professor of the Yale Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency.  Dr. Carr has supported client for the past ten years.  He strives to bring a practical voice of both physician and patient perspectives to each initiative.
